State Representative Maurice West is gearing up with excitement for this year’s Stroll on State, where he will be stepping into the role of Santa! The beloved holiday festival, presented by Illinois Bank & Trust, returns for its 12th year on November 30th, bringing the best of festive spirit, entertainment, and community givebacks to downtown Rockford.
With new attractions and returning favorites, Stroll on State promises to be an unforgettable experience. This year’s lineup includes a dazzling holiday drone show, the Dasher Dash 5K Toy Drive, large inflatable balloons, and an array of street performances. Highlights also include Santa visits, a holiday t-shirt contest, and live performances at multiple stages, ensuring fun for all ages.
Yesterday, GoRockford, joined by sponsors, partners, and community members, held a press conference to unveil the exciting details. Representative West expressed his enthusiasm for taking part in the celebration and is thrilled to bring joy to the community as this year’s Santa. “Stroll on State is a true highlight of the season, and I’m honored to play a role in spreading holiday cheer in Rockford,” he said.
